Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American stage and screen actor best well-known for her films in Ray Undercover Brother and on the series on television The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a master's degree in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film as well as a producer. Her acting career began in the theater. Later, she was a part of numerous television shows, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just critical acclaim but also a number of nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. She made her professional debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The stage credits she has received include the Broadway show of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In film, her career will be recognized for movies like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her part in ABC's crime drama High Incident.
